Chief System Architect
We are looking for a Chief System Architect to define and lead our overall architecture vision. In this role, you ensure our systems are scalable, secure and reliable, and that our technology choices support long‑term business goals. You’ll work closely with engineering, product management, security and leadership teams to guide architectural decisions across the organization. You will be based at our Tampere office and work in a hybrid model.
What you’ll do?
Design scalable, secure and resilient architectures for products and internal platforms.
Define and maintain the target architecture and roadmap.
Set technical standards, principles and best practices.
Lead architecture reviews and ensure architectural alignment across teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior engineers.
Evaluate new technologies and guide adoption decisions.
Ensure architecture meets performance, availability and scalability needs.
Identify technical risks and define mitigation plans.
Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud migration.
Maintain architecture documentation and reference models.
What you bring?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
10+ years’ experience in software engineering, systems architecture or platform engineering.
Proven experience with large‑scale distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of embedded (Linux‑based) systems and cloud platforms.
Experience with security architectures, performance optimization, APIs and integrations.
Background in leading cross‑functional technical teams and architectural governance.
