About Us
Teleste's Public Safety and Mobility business unit delivers innovative passenger information solutions and services for public transport operators and rolling stock manufacturers. Our customers are leading international players which can be found all around the world. Most of our business is export-driven, making us a truly international company.
At Teleste, we offer:
- A meaningful role in a growing, sustainable global business
- Diverse and challenging projects with long-term customer relationships
- A collaborative and supportive work culture
- The opportunity to influence your own work
- A chance to work with talented colleagues across multiple disciplines and countries
Your Role
As a Project Manager, you will lead our customer delivery projects from contract signing through to successful project closing. You will support dedicated sales cases and contribute to the project’s successful start.
During the project execution phase, you will take overall responsibility for the project — covering the design and delivery of the complete passenger information system, including software together with interfaces, and serial production readiness — ensuring that quality, scope, schedule, customer satisfaction, contractual and financial objectives are achieved. Managing customer relationship is also a vital part of the project manager’s role in dedicated projects.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for both customers and internal teams, fostering clear communication, alignment, and collaboration across all stakeholders. In this role, you’ll also proactively manage risks, changes, and opportunities to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects following the Teleste Project Management Process, including hosting gate reviews and managing follow-up actions
- Plan, execute, and monitor project activities to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Contract management of the project
- Manage risks and changes proactively — identifying, mitigating, and resolving issues
- Coordinate internal teams (e.g. hardware, software, testing, sourcing, documentation, finance, logistics, production) to ensure seamless collaboration
- Conduct weekly customer meetings to report progress, handle change requests, and align on schedules
- Maintain daily communication with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of action items
- Oversee financial planning and control, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting together with business control and other team members
- Ensuring customer on time invoicing and payments according to the contractual milestones.
- Ensure quality and completeness of project documentation together with organization
- Manage subcontractors, including contracts, deliverables, and performance
What We Expect From You
To succeed in this role, you should bring solid experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in an international environment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager working directly with international customers
- Proven track record managing projects combining hardware and software development with teams of 10+ people
- Knowledge in requirement management tools and methodologies
- Experience in contract management, negotiation and change management
- Experience with project financial planning and budget control.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting processes
- Proficiency in project scheduling and critical path management, preferably using MS Project
- Great communication skills
- Strong people and leadership skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal (other language skills are a plus)
- Experience with risk management
