Software Architect
Teleste Broadband Networks is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Software Architect to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cable broadband network solutions. In this role, you will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and customer strategy, serving as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert. You will be instrumental in translating complex broadband network requirements into scalable, future-proof solutions aligned with Teleste’s product roadmap and our customers' business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design HFC broadband network solutions in support of customer initiatives and Teleste’s product offerings.
- Lead technical discussions with customers, aligning network designs with Teleste’s portfolio of Distributed Access Architecture (DAA), Remote PHY, and DOCSIS solutions.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on RF transmission, cable broadband standards (SCTE, DOCSIS, Remote PHY), and emerging trends in broadband access.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to develop technical proposals, proofs-of-concept, and customer-focused solution briefs.
- Conduct in-depth customer requirements analysis and develop scalable architectures that solve real-world broadband network challenges.
- Support the sales process at both tactical and executive levels with presentations, demos, and technical consultations.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance for field trials and network testing using industry-standard cable broadband test instrumentation.
- Stay current on industry standards, customer pain points, and competitive landscape to ensure technical positioning aligns with market evolution.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the HFC broadband or cable telecommunications industry.
- Deep technical expertise in Distributed Access Architectures (DAA) and Remote PHY (R-PHY) technologies.
- Strong knowledge of RF transmission, network architecture design, and the operational characteristics of HFC broadband networks.
- Demonstrated experience with industry standards and technologies such as SCTE, DOCSIS, and DAA, including practical impacts on customer decision-making.
- Familiarity with broadband test instruments and performance validation tools.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills – able to translate business requirements into practical, solution-oriented recommendations.
- Experience supporting or engaging in technical sales processes, with the ability to influence decisions at multiple levels within an organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a global or cross-functional technical team.
- Exposure to Teleste solutions or competitive DAA platforms.
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on location and individual qualifications, including experience, education, and skill set.
Location Preferred: U.S. based. Dallas, Denver, or Atlanta preferred
